Alongside my photography, I maintain an interest in the philosophy of architecture and aesthetic theory. I'm currently researching ideas on the language of architectural criticism and its relationship to our experience of buildings.

Previous work includes:

'Content(ion): (Anti-)icon' essay in the Cambridge University Land Society annual publication (2010)

'The Art of Aesthetic Engineering'
Book chapter in Solutions for a Modern City: Arup in Beijing, published by Black Dog, London (2008)

The Aesthetics of Modern Architecture
MPhil thesis, King's College London, 2006
